Electric door openers can be fitted to timber, metal or PVC doors and mortise locks, rim locks and multi-point locks can be made to open electrically. The type of door opener and lock required can have a big impact on the cost. Other important factors include the depth of the reveal around the door, the type of material used in the wall above the door, location of electric power and the orientation of the door in relation to the prevailing wind.

InfraRed Detector

The InfraRed Dectector is an accessory to an InfraRed Relay and is used in a situation where you want a second receiver to cover a different area. The best example of this is a solid front door with a Detector on the outside connected to an IR Relay on the inside.The user can then open the door from either side.

Surface mounting, encapsulated with a 6m or 15m cable, outdoor or indoor.

By using an InfraRed relay (IR2ML) a person can activate a door opener using any InfraRed transmitter. On solid doors rather than glass doors a second receiver, called a detector is required on the outside.

The IR Relay detects when a particular key is pressed and triggers the door to open. The IR1SP transmitter is an ideal transmitter to use when outdoors. It is worn like a pendant or can be attached to a key ring and has one button.

Curtain Opener

The Silent Gliss electromechanical curtain opener comes complete with motorised curtain rail and remote controls and can be fitted to a straight or bay window of different lengths. The control device is mounted on the wall with one button for open, one for close and a third for stop. Each curtain opener is supplied with a remote control device.

Window Opener

The window opener is a small compact chain drive which can be used to open a bottom hung, top hung or side hung window. The drive is fitted parallel to the window frame and the chain is connected to the
window itself with a bracket and pin.

When the window is closed the chain is rolled up inside the housing and is completely sealed. When the unit is operated the chain pushes the window open to a maximum of 10 inches. The window can be manually opened further for cleaning purposes by removing the bracket pin. The unit requires a 24v power supply, an IR2ML infra-red receiver and can be operated from any GEWA transmitter.
