The ClickToGo Master Remote provides Effective Powered Wheelchair Control using switches. It gives independent control of mobility to individuals who do not have the requisite strength, control or co-ordination to use a standard joystick control. The ClickToGo is operated by single or multiple switches via a scanning interface. The eight direction indicators are illuminated by ultra-bright LEDs and can be scanned in many different ways. When a direction is chosen, pressing a switch drives the chair.

[See post to watch Flash video]

The ClickToGo caters for a wide variety of user needs and abilities by providing flexible and versatile programming options. These options can be selected from the front panel of the ClickToGo without the need of an external programming device.

Three different methods of scanning are supported. Single switch automatic scan, single switch short click scan and two-switch step scan. The scanning pattern can be chosen from a set of pre-programmed patterns or you can create your own.

The ClickToGo provides total control over a powered wheelchair system. The switches used to operate the ClickToGo can also be used to make seat tilt and space adjustment, and, control an external device such as a communication aid or environmental control. This means that the same switch can be used to control different equipment.

The Heading Lock device is a significant technological advancement which improves the driving performance of the ClickToGo wheelchair control. It minimises veering to the left or right on rough or cambered surfaces and dramatically improves performance when driving in a straight line.

The Heading Lock is similar to a compass. Before you start driving forward it “remembers” which direction you were heading and then as you drive forward attempts to keep you, or lock you, on that heading as the chair veers to the left or right.

The Heading Lock is simple and easy to use. It plugs into the ClickToGo and the left/right corrections that the Heading Lock makes can be seen on the ClickToGo when the Left and Right LEDs flicker.

The Head Array is a set of three Egg Switches mounted on a Stealth Swing Away Headrest that connects to the ClickToGo wheelchair control operating in Head Array mode.

The right hand switch turns on the wheelchair and drives the chair to the right. It can also optionally be used to change modes between Driving, Seat function, Lights and External device.

The left hand switch drives the chair to the left. It can also optionally be used to switch off the wheelchair.

The “behind the head” switch is used to drive the chair forwards or backwards. Pressing and holding it will drive the chair forwards but clicking it once and then pressing and holding it will drive the chair backwards.

The Head Array compensates for accidental switch presses or releases automatically as a user drives over bumpy pavements.

The Heading Lock ensures that when driving forward the chair does not veer to one side or the other due to a cambered or rough surface.

The Genie+ is a master remote display for the DX bus system. It enables integrated control over a wheelchair, computer, mobile phone and environmental or communication device from any secondary remote.

Just one switch or a flick of the joystick is all that is required to switch modes from, for example, driving the wheelchair to moving the computer mouse and back again. It is simple to use with no complex menus or LCD displays. For users who cannot operate the Genie+ switch (located on the unit itself) an external switch can be connected.

The Genie+ has a wireless computer mouse built-in. This is an infra-red link to the Genie+ mouse emulator which connects into the USB port of your computer. When computer access is selected the joystick is used to move the mouse on the screen. Pressing the Genie+ switch activates the left click.

The Genie+ can be supplied with an internal bluetooth module that enables control over a SmartPhone. The joystick can be used to browse the contents of your phone’s contact list, make and receive calls, and send text messages.

The Genie+ can be connected to an environmental control or communication aid device. The joystick can then be used to make selections on the external device. For example the joystick can be used to highlight a cell on a grid of symbols using left/right and up/down movements. The cell can be selected by clicking the Genie+ switch.

Control your wheelchair

Access a computer

Operate a Mobile Phone

Operate environmental and communication aid devices

The Genie joystick is designed for a person who wishes to use the same joystick to drive their chair, operate seat function, control their computer mouse, control their mobile phone and access their communication or environmental control device. Just one button or a flick of the joystick is all that is required to switch modes from, for example, driving the wheelchair to controlling their computer mouse and back again. It is simple to use with no complex menus or displays.

The Genie joystick has a wireless computer mouse built-in. This comprises of an InfraRed transmitter within the joystick and a mouse emulator that plugs into the USB port of your computer. When the wheelchair is positioned close to the emulator an invisible link is made between the Genie joystick and your computer. When computer access mode is selected the Genie joystick is used to move the mouse on the screen. Mouse movements are fully proportional and give smooth accurate control of the Windows® mouse pointer. Pressing button 1 activates the left click, whilst pressing button 2 activates the right click.

The Genie joystick can be supplied with an internal bluetooth module enabling wireless control over a SmartPhone running ClickToPhone software. When telephone mode is selected the Genie joystick can be used to browse the contents of your phone’s contact list, make and receive calls, and send text messages.

The Genie joystick can be connected to an environmental control and/or communication aid device. The joystick can then be used to make selections on the external device. The Genie joystick can be interfaced to any device that can already be controlled by one or more switches. The joystick movements simply replace the action of pressing switches. For example a device which requires one switch for “select” and another for “scan” could be interfaced so that a left deflection of the joystick is “select” and a right deflection of the joystick is “scan”. Interface cables are available for most popular environmental control and communication aid devices.
